If you prefer text to video, check out the transcript of the presentation above

It's time to explore one of the coolest features of skillpies.com: the piePlayer. The piePlayer offers unmatched possibilities for presenting your lectures, projects, or demos. Let's dive into its options!

Meet piePlayer, our revolutionary interactive video lecturing system.

With piePlayer, you can choose a graphic theme. Please note that choosing a different theme restarts the presentation. Also, the pre-selected theme has been optimised for your experience, and you may encounter minor inconsistencies when selecting a different theme.

The piePlayer also allows you to choose between different languages or accents. Try to swap between Australian and American accent to see which one you prefer!

Below, you can find the buttons that control your experience, allowing you to stop or resume your presentation. To show the buttons, you need to hover your mouse over it.

The markers allow you to fast-forward to a part of the presentation. You can also press the "Escape" key to visualise the slide preview or press the G key to type the slide number you wish to jump to.

The piePlayer delivers an unmatched interactive experience. For instance, we often test your knowledge to track your progress or gather feedback. In our first poll, try swapping between the American and Australian narratives and voting on which accent you prefer. You will only be able to vote if you create an account with Skillpies. We will now pause the presentation and await your vote, if you cannot vote or once you have finished, please click play to continue.

Thank you! Let's now explore other interactive features of the piePlayer.

We are only getting started! With piePlayer you can view and edit interactive code examples.

In our example, we show a fancy Hello World text.

You goal is to change the Hello World text to something else. If you are out of ideas, try changing it just to Hello!

First, click on the "Edit" button to launch the interactive editor, this may take a moment, so please be patient. You should see the colours in the editor changing and you should now be able to edit the source code. you can now change the Hello World text.

Once you change the texts, click on the Play button to compile and execute your changes.

If you are happy with your changes, please click the Play button to continue.

You should see now your new fancy text! Pretty cool, huh? Would you ever dream of coding inside the video lecture?

PiePlayer also allows you to explain complex topics using interactive demos and animations. In this example, we are showing how to calculate complex ballistic trajectories.

Try to play with different parameters of the ballistic equation and see if you can hit the target. Do you think these visualisations are helpful? We will now pause the presentation and after you are done playing with the interactive demo, please click play to continue.

Let's continue!

You might have thought that nothing beats interactive coding in video. Wrong! Meet Maggie, the magpie, your helpful mentor.

If you prefer to read your lecture instructions instead of watching videos, Maggie automatically transcribes the slides into textual format. You can find the "Show Lecture Transcript" button under the player. Try it now!

Under the video transcript, you can often find further notes on the current lecture, exploring the topics in greater depth.

Now, the fantastic thing is that you can ask Maggie questions about the lecture and have her test your knowledge on the current topic. The chat window is below the lecture text. Please note that Maggie provides answers in real time using Generative AI, and excuse her if she sometimes gets things wrong.

If Maggie is not being particularly helpful, you can leave a comment at the bottom of the lecture, and our friendly team will answer as soon as possible; and hey, if you know the answer someone else asked, please go ahead and be the mentor you were born to be!

We hope you like the features of our piePlayer and we can't wait for you to try it out in one of our courses!

The ๐ŸฐPlayer

The piePlayer revolutionises the delivery of learning content through interactive presentations. Users can participate in polls, take quizzes, play with interactive examples, or write code directly in the presentation. Please check out the features of the piePlayer in the presentation above. Please check out the transcript if you prefer to read instead of listen!

Extra: The Poll

Please tell us which narration accent you prefer!

Extra: Interactive Code Examples

Showcase the interactive examples that you can use in your courses. This time, we explain the mathematical equation for the Ballistic trajectory.
