Videos are a bit easier to follow, sometimes it's difficult reading a lot of text but if there are also a lot of examples it's usually fine anyway.
Speaking for myself I'm not too fussed, happy with either.

Can do content creation. JavaScript/Java are probably what I'm most comfortable with but quite happy to write for other languages and learn along the way anyway applying what I already know since they're all OOP languages, except HTML/CSS, which belong in the bin anyway :D.
